Representing and Advocating the Interests of the Texas Multifamily Rental Housing Industry

TAA has been bringing rental housing professionals together since 1963.

The Texas Apartment Association is a non-profit statewide trade association that provides exceptional advocacyeducation and communication for the Texas rental housing industry. We serve all types of rental professionals, including property owners, builders, developers, property management firms and service providers.

TAA is affiliated with the National Apartment Association and local associations in 24 Texas cities, providing our members an extensive local, regional and national network and allowing members to be a part of something bigger.

Our members lead the industry through innovation, commitment to service, and collaboration. From the implementation of a comprehensive and fair lease, to innovation through new technology and trainings, members are raising the bar for professional standards and development. TAA members were instrumental in developing professional training programs for apartment managers and supervisors, maintenance professionals and leasing staff. The National Apartment Association Education Institute and many of TAA’s local associations offer these programs today.

  • Four out of 10 Texas households live in rental housing
  • TAA member companies represent almost 2.2 million homes and units across Texas
  • Our members represent $150 billion in property value
  • TAA members pay more than $3.5 billion in property taxes

THE LEASE OF RECORD IN TEXAS, FOR TEXAS MEMBERS ONLY

The powerful and easy-to-use leasing program allows an apartment community to save time and money by speeding up preparation and printing of legal documents. In addition to providing greater efficiency to the on-site leasing process, the program allows prospective residents to fill out a rental application online, and property managers to audit and edit entire portfolios of leases with a few clicks of a mouse.
